While some may lead you to believe that when you get something “mastered” you are really after the “room” or the speakers or the set up and while this is largely true the most important thing you can get when seeking out a mastering service is an unbiased set of ears. That’s where we come in.

We encourage you to refuse to participate in the “Loudness War” that has been waging since the late 1980s industry wide (but actually started in the mid-1970s with Phil Spector’s “wall of sound” concept). Don’t be fooled by engineers who simply bump it up on your mix and call it a day. Mastering music is an art form, and while modern technology may make it easier to do than ever before, you still have to know what you are doing and “why” certain things are done a certain way.
