E:Mortal aka “Fredrik Johansson” first got into dance music in the early 90′s listening to most of what was released during that time. His passions were tracks that had a story to tell. Artists like Ayla, Kenji Hurricane, Planet Fuse and Quietman inspired him.
By the late 90s Fredrik couldn’t get away from music production and over the years was composing on a regular basis for major events and clients like Sony. In 2005 Fredrik felt it was time to start his own act and thus E:Mortal was born. The goal of the project was to give mind prints with emotional and energetic music.
In 2006 E:Mortal joined with Black Tiger Recordings to release “Days on End” on 12″ which topped the chart on the Richmond Records DJ Pool, placing E:Mortal over the latest round of releases from artists like Armin van Buuren, Tiesto and Above and Beyond.
Working regularly with Trance Vocalist Tiff Lacey E:mortal has released together with Tiff some incredibly beautiful vocal trance releases on several labels.
EMortal’s original tracks appear on BTR-006 and BTR-008 (Days on End and Emotion, respectively). These vinyl releases are available from www.juno.co.uk
