Prices are pretty up there but if you are dedicated these platter illumination units are very much a killer modification you can do to your SL-1200 MKII turntables. Each unit is around $275US bucks a pop for the regular Illuminator and a bit more for their super high end multi-color version. I’m not totally sure they are worth it and its not going to make you a better DJ or anything but if you take your decks out to parties and events to play on these are certainly hot looking add-ons that will make the pioneer cdj goons jealous.

buyer beware…I unfortunately purchased two kits from the site over a month ago…poor communication, and I haven’t received anything…I think I’ve been scammed
That’s a serious drag. I was going to pick up a pair. They do ship from China so keep that in mind.
BUYER BEWARE UPDATE…..yes, his youtube vids and paypal address are canada…something is very wrong with his business practices…I ordered a couple of these mods on feb 7, and haven’t received anything…supposedly he is in china…and keeps telling me he’s going to send it, but I get very sporadic communication…again, he blames china…I went to another serato forum and let people know on there…he did reply, and gave the usual run around…if I ever get it I will you know…but I’m very hesitant…he’s had my $250 for almost 2 months…I have nothing
Well thats a serious drag. I’ve ordered stuff from hongkong before for my turntable mods and upgrades to my TB303 / TR 606 and I’ve never had any issues, but this is a totally different guy and on the mainland. Go figure.. that really sucks you are out cash.
Please keep us posted on this, I don’t want to see more people burned by this if its a fly by night operation.
k, the guy has been communicating better…says my goods are getting shipped…whew…he’s gonna tweak his site to let peeps know it takes a little longer than what was told….all should be good….dude has been great overall, just stuck in a funked up country with tech issues…looking forward to staring at the bling…goes good with a nice jack n coke

Yes, I have had serious problems getting online due to China blocking everything in the book! It’s really stupid this censorship crap they have here. I do ship out each and every order. What ever has happened my customers have always got their products period.

Well can you explain JASON RC (aka dj lexuus) why I still have not received the refund of 410.96 still? Ordered in nov.2011 and now a year later NOTHING. You said you would refund back in Canada in July 2012. DJ’s. This guy is a complete rip-off artist. Not the only one he had scammed. Check out the serato forums. Apparently same lies and stalling. Check out his site and even has neg feedback on his forums. Google him under djmods scam and see if he is really a stand up character he proclaims.

Sounds like you are running a scam to me as well. First indicator was the price tag now that I think about it. I could do the same mods with EL wire myself and pick up the materials from a computer shop for less than 100 dollars for both decks.
Oh well.
